Argentina Report

Our trip to Salta Argentina took place from September 21 to September 28. Scott Rickles from Harvest Flame Ministries set this trip up as a launching of ISOB in Latin America. The Province of Salta is located in the northern part of Argentina, near Bolivia and Paraguay.

During the past four months,
Scott's contact in Salta, Pastor Carlos Miranda has beautifully translated the
Grow or Die book into Spanish. He
is almost finished with Junk to Jewels, and will then continue to translate all
11 of our books.

Carlos and his wife Saundra, and family.
Carlos also shares Scott's and ISOB's vision for discipleship in all of Latin America. We had several thousand Grow or Die books printed locally, and they were passed out everywhere we went. They were received with much enthusiasm.
I can humbly and honesty say that I have never sensed the seriousness and presence of God for a project to the degree we experienced it here in Salta. What God is doing and going to do is way beyond all my expectations. Scott and Carlos agree with Carol and me.
The plan was to hold four seminars with various pastors to see if they would catch the fire like the pastors in Africa have been doing. They did.
Not just South America,
but the nations!
What is interesting about God choosing Argentina as a launching place for Latin America is that it is populated with people from all around the world, especially Europe where ISOB has not presence now. Many of the pastors now have a vision for taking ISOB to Germany, the Gypsies in Spain, Norway, and I heard other places.

Some of the pastors are taking the discipleship materials to the indigenous more primitive population in the Northern mountains of Argentina.

We also formed a friendship and partnership with the Cathedral of Miracles church in Salta, a dynamic 4,000 strong congregation. Carlos is a co-pastor there and his father in law Francisco Brazan is the founder and senior pastor. Francisco's family all participate in this powerful ministry.
They are strong in worship and music. One of their sons has a traveling worship ministry utilizing primitive folk instruments and music. It is know in many parts of South America. They are a very godly family who live out what they believe and God is really using them through radio, internet and soon TV.

Pastor Francisco hosted what was supposed to be a seminar for 200 leaders from his church, but 650 people showed up. So did the power of God in a way that I have never experienced before in an ISOB presentation. More than 600 people were at the altar under the healing power of God. I could tell many were being healed on the inside; many were just falling under the power. We tried to go down to the altar to pray for individuals like we do at our church, but could not. So as we just pointed to people from the stage, the healing power hit them.
Helped with new church plant.
Pastor Francisco took 150 Grow or Die books (while we were there) to a rural village called Quebrachal where he is in the process of planting a church. They have 150 people in regular attendance. Through a vital partnership we were able to help Pastor Francisco with funds to purchase church land. The members will make the blocks by hand and build the building.
The building will be first used as a feeding kitchen during the week, then on the weekends for the congregation to meet. This place also sees many practical miracles, as does the mother church in Salta.

We found Argentina and the people
to be very warm, friendly and unique in history and culture.

The Almond Tree!
God
spoke to all of us about going to the nations, not just Latin America, while
shopping at a plaza market. While
He was speaking we noticed a tree for sale right next to us. It was an Almond tree. We turned to Jeremiah chapter one which
says,
"Then the LORD put
forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: 'Behold, I have
put My words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and
over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down,
To build and to plant. Moreover
the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 'Jeremiah, what do you see?' And I
said, 'I see a branch of an almond tree.' Then the LORD said to me, 'You have
seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.'" (Jeremiah 1:9-12).
