Inheriting all God has left to you in His will.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

If you left a last will and testament for your child, certainly you would leave him or her instructions on how to receive the inheritance contained therein.

God has left us instructions for receiving all the "good works" that He prepared for each one of us individually, before the foundation of the world. I believe these include not only our felt needs, but also the needs of God.

Hebrews chapters 3-6 emphasizes that we need to make efforts to stand on the promises of God in order to please Him and inherit all that He has provided for us.

"For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: ‘So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’’ although the works were finished from the foundation of the world" (Hebrews 4:3).

"that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises" (Hebrews 6:12).

We need to practice patience while the seed of the Word matures in our heart to bear fruit. We need to STAND against the devil as he attempts to steal the seed of the Word out of our heart (we often do not recognize his efforts as supernatural). (Ephesians 6:12-14). Normally this is a time of suffering, or at best discomfort.

During this time of STANDING God wants us to immerse ourselves in His Word and to have a single eye for it. He wants us to put it on our lips and to use it as final evidence for everything in our life.

However we cannot STAND unless we WALK (Ephesians 4:1). We must pursue a righteous and holy lifestyle. As we miss the mark, we confess our sins and He cleanses us. However we must keep short accounts.

Further, we cannot WALK unless we SIT (Ephesians 2:6). We must know who we are in Christ. We must know that we have been made to SIT in heavenly places as a new creation in Christ, not by works, but by His grace! Without SITTING we will get into legalism.

We cannot really SIT unless we come into God’s presence and HEAR Him speak these things personally to us.

We cannot come into His presence without the protocol of the blood covenant. We recognize the all-inclusive work He did on the Cross, that all things were reconciled by His blood. We take up our cross in order to complete the protocol and make the connection.

I see too many precious brothers and sisters who fail to receive all that God has for them because they fail to follow His protocol. I am not talking about trying to receive something that is not ours, I am talking about inheriting what God has provided for each of us personally. We can only know that by knowing Him.

The above steps are amplified in our book "Grow or Die" which is being used in Haiti and Africa for discipleship. Please contact us if you would like a copy.
