Joel 2:25, 26 (KJV) says, "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed."

God spoke this verse to the author of this book, my husband Larry, shortly after he met Jesus in 1979. Larry had been lamenting his past wasted years. Now, almost 30 years later, he can testify to the truth and fulfillment of this promise. This book presents some practical tools along wiht powerful truths for the healing of your inner and invisible wounds that may have come upon you by your sin and the sin of others. God's healing will make you a free person, able to "fly" and be fruitful as depicted by the butterfly on the front cover.

Forward

Joel 2:25, 26 (KJV) says, "And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.  And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed."

You may find the past years of your life wasted and consumed by your own sin and the sin perpetrated against you by others.  Yet, as through a metamorphous, the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, so God provides a supernatural metamorphous, a transformation (metamorphoo in Greek), which can take place.

Through the prophet Joel, the Lord says that He will restore what was lost and consumed.  God does not merely promise a better future; He actually promises to utilize your past devastation in such a way so as to transform the loss of the past to profit.

The butterfly does not even remember being a caterpillar.  Nor will you even lament your devoured and wasted years.  The Lord will cause your future to be fruitful in amazing ways.  The caterpillar begins as a devourer, but becomes a useful and fruitful butterfly, an insect that has a productive purpose.

God spoke this verse to the author of this book, my husband Larry, shortly after he met Jesus in 1979.  Larry had been lamenting his past wasted years.  Now, almost 30 years later, he can testify to the truth and fulfillment of this promise.

This book presents some practical tools along with powerful truths for the healing of your inner and invisible wounds that may have come upon you by your sin and the sin of others.  God's healing will make you a free person, able to "fly" and be fruitful as depicted by the butterfly on the front cover.

Comment

The tittle "FREE TO BE YOU" is appropriate because the you in you has been wounded and boxed with guilt. Now you can deconstruct your past and build for the future.  The Israelites who came from Egypt left Egypt, but Egypt did not leave them.  The problem has been how to get rid of the Egypt in them.  Now here comes the inner healing nugget.  Grab it and use it for your self and others still reeling in pains.  Choose freedom and divine health.

CREDITS

We have named Michael and Karen Vincent as Contributing Editors for lack of a better definition of their roles in this book.  However, I feel that the importance of their contribution is not expressed in the title, Contributing Editors.

Karen Vincent certainly performed some very important basic editing.   However during the past six years (since 2003), both Michael and Karen taught me so much about inner healing from their own experiences and training that I feel that they are more than Contributing Editors.  We have worked and ministered together on many occasions, and have recorded an 18 video series named ISOB Bondage Breakers.

Also, while Michael and Karen were editing this book, I gave them total freedom to add their own testimonies and experiences.  They added a lot of their own ideas into many parts of the text.

All the glory goes to Jesus, but also many thanks to Michael and Karen.

A word of great thanks goes to Tracey Diaz for the beautiful cover art.
