"And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood." Hebrews 9:15-18.
We, who are familiar with the Gospel, know that only the blood of Jesus gives us the inheritance of eternal life. As this Scripture says, that without the death of the testator, there is no inheritance. That makes sense to us especially in the natural realm with the death or our father and mother.
However in the context of studying blessings and curses, I have a question. Who has to die in order for Jesus to inherit your curses?
You!
Luke 9:23 says, ìThen He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Luke 9:23.
If you want the assurance that you will not suffer the wrath of the consequences of your generational curses, take up your cross! You may feel the shaking of them, the threat of them and even the dread of them, but as for the wrath of them, allow that inheritance to go to Jesus. He already bore them now let them go by dying. Remember, as we always say, "A blood covenant has to be activated by two parties. Two parties must die and shed blood." Jesus had done His part, now what about you?
You might ask: How do I do that? Allow your carnal will, mind and emotions to be swapped for God's. The context of the Luke 9 Scripture is the life of the soul, which is your will, mind and emotion.
Now for the practical application. Live your life in Romans chapters 13 and 14, Ephesians chapters 4,5 and 6, and Colossians chapter 3.
We can testify that the effects of our taking up our cross, is powerful!!
