Testimony from Brother Joseph in Senegal

ISOB Marriage Series

Brother Larry,

As usual we met yesterday for our video teachings. We had the 3rd session of healing wounds from marriage, our responsibilities; marriage a blood covenant.

We learned that most marriages were begun and are existing from outside blood covenant relationship foundation ordained by God Himself. God tells us to love our wife the same way He loves the church. Christ gave His life for our sake, the same way He tells us to also do to our wife/husband. Husband and wife are two lives that died to bring about one life in union. And women are to honor their husbands, encourage them and not to criticize them. This is part of their responsibilities. Men need to provide financial security, emotional and social security etc.

Interesting, was the discouragement of kissing, only acceptable with man to man, woman to woman or husband and wife. Women are the glory of their husbands same as men reflects the glory of the Lord as He shines on us. The teaching also discouraged sex immorality, etc. Very interesting with lots to feed on.

All were happy and satisfied being part of the participants as they learned a lot from it. They requested that I preserve the DVDs for future use. You know, out here many couples are victims of these relationships outside Gods plan. And had led to lots of challenges, troubles, disappointments and shame, etc before now.

Many families sees their own wives as just a helpers to the family, limited to keeping the home having kids and meeting the sexual needs of the husband with no say to decision making of the home, etc. Many failed in this covenant relationship having lacked that love to their wives as Christ love the church.

Wives are to be the same to their men. Both dying to one another to bring about one life in union as ordained by God. These are the concerns of these people going by the ingredient you put together with sister Carol that made the teaching clearer. Both men and women who found themselves wanting, cried-out in regrets after the teaching. The acts of kisses were well accepted also. Prayers were heard at the end of teaching as all went home with determination to begin a new life with many prayers for divine revival to their case.
